Hardware.com Expands Data Center Solutions

Hardware.com Launches Strategic Investment in Channel-Led Integrated Data Center Solutions Division

Hardware.com provides vendor-agnostic view of the IT landscape to align companies’ IT needs with their business and economic goals

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – AUGUST 16, 2012 – Amid today’s increasingly challenging information technology (IT) climate, Hardware.com today launched the first phase of a strategic investment in channel-led integrated data center solutions. This initiative will provide customers with comprehensive, tailored solutions for integrated networks. Led by a team of industry experts focused on core data center vendors—including Juniper Networks, HP Networking, Dell Force10, and Brocade—Hardware.com is aligning companies’ technological requirements with their business and economic goals through unbiased expertise and the deployment of efficient and cost-effective solutions.

“Recent acquisitions have resulted in the consolidation of resellers focused on single vendor relationships, leaving customers with fewer choices for optimized IT solutions,” said Andy Faris, President of Hardware.com in North America. “With this renewed focus and significant investment in our multi-vendor partnerships, our goal is to help customers select technology best suited to their needs. The provision of an independent, yet comprehensive view of the marketplace protects their investment and provides greater flexibility for their future IT decisions.”

Instead of relying on incumbent, single-vendor solutions, companies can now turn to Hardware.com for unbiased technical expertise across all areas of IT project management, from proof-of-concept (POC), planning, and design to implementation and support for the data center.

“The launch and investment in this initiative demonstrates our clear commitment to our technology partners and their channel programs,” Faris added. “By partnering with our customers to better understand their business goals, we can then deliver a bespoke solution fully aligned with their budgetary requirements.”

Key personnel driving this new initiative include Justin Hadler, Director of Engineering, and Rick Dykhoff, Director of Channel Sales. With more than 25 years of combined experience, Hadler and Dykhoff specialize in helping customers simplify their networks, drive better performance, and lower IT costs. Both also have considerable experience working with networking manufacturers, including Cisco, Juniper Networks, HP Networking, Dell Force10, and Brocade.

Subsequent phases of investment will include recruitment in senior engineering and sales roles, as well as significant enhancements to existing multi-vendor POC and demo labs.
