U.S. Micro Launches Expanded Website

New site helps users understand company’s unique IT asset disposition process

U.S. Micro Corporation, a pioneer and innovator in the IT asset disposition (ITAD) industry, launched a new website (http://www.usmicrocorp.com/) to better serve customers and prospects searching for ITAD services by explaining how to avoid the risks of data breaches and improper recycling practices.

New features include checklists for companies to evaluate current ITAD processes, an RSS feed of industry and environmental news, and streamlined navigation. Users can view a step-by-step description of the company’s proprietary tracking system, Enertia, which tracks assets through every step of the ITAD process and provides real-time status reports. Moreover, visitors can schedule tours of the facilities – including the new 130,000-square-foot Next-Generation IT Demanufacturing and Distribution Center in Las Vegas – and learn about the company’s upfront purchase model.

As organizations focus on the potential risks of data breaches and environmental considerations related to retired IT assets, greater scrutiny is being placed on ITAD vendors, increasing the need for readily available information about safe and responsible disposal.

“Our new website enables us to establish a closer relationship with users by providing helpful information and insights and telling the U.S. Micro story – how we’re different from competitors,” said Doug Schilletter, Executive Director of Business Development and Services. “The site illustrates our closed-loop approach to asset disposition, which has enabled us to maintain a perfect security record since our inception in 1995 and ensures that all assets are properly recycled.”

The site also highlights U.S. Micro’s commitment to environmental stewardship and giving back to communities through philanthropy programs.

U.S. micro continues to expand its facilities and tools to serve the needs of customers in this rapidly growing $5 billion U.S. industry. The website is the most recent example.
